Essay

Subject of reserch - inheritance of quantative economic characters of field pea. The purpose - creation of a new breeding material of peas of different morphotypes, on the basis of revealing genetic structure of quantitative economic characters. Methods of research - field, laboratory, mesure and weight, mathematical and statistical. The value and novelty of research - a role of different groups of genes in inheritance of the basic quantitative economic characters of peas, such as: " plant height", "quantity of internodes per a stem ", "quantity of fruit-bearing nodes per a stem ", "quantity of beans per a plant ", "quantity of seeds per a plant ", "seed weight from one plant " and "thosand-seeds weight " is established. Promising hybrid populations and lines are developed. They are characterized by the heavy productivity together with signs of increased technological capasity of growing (harvesting) what is important in the process of this crop breeding improvement. Introduction - the developed hybrid populations and lines are included in breeding programmes on the development of new varieties of pea in the Department of Fodder and Fodder-Grain Crop Breeding of the Institute of Forages of the UAAS and at the Breeding of the Uladovo-Lulinets Experimental Breeding Station of the Institute of Sugar Beets of the UAAS. Field of application - the breeding research institutions.
