Essay

Object: ceramics in the system traditional domestic culture of Ukrainians the second half of XIX–ХХ. Aim: to probe the ceramics of north group of small cells of Opishne pottery district as a substantial component traditional domestic culture of Poltavshchyna in the second half of XIX–ХХ. Methods: comparative-historical, complex analysis, structural functional method, field researches. Results: in the first time the ceramics of small cells are probed in the Ukrainian ethnology, majority from which was halted the existence at the end of 1970th, their characteristic signs, technological process and professional knowledges of potters, consuetudes and home way of life are certain, role of ceramics in the system of traditional domestic culture of Poltavshchyna.
