Essay

The subject of the thesis is the problem of individualization of psychological preparation of trained tennis players by investigating the impact of style self-regulation of mental states upon effectiveness of competitive activity. By an experimental way it was defined that evidence of indices for style self-regulation of tennis players can be represented as follows: within the competitive period the closeness of interrelation between the indices of style self-regulation and those reflecting mental state of athletes - tennis players is increasing. Peculiar features of style self-regulation are significantly interrelated with such manifestations of tennis players' mental state as Shiposh vegetative coefficient, total deviation from autogenic standard, stability of self-regulation, mental fatigue, working efficiency, complex evaluation - adaptation coefficient, demonstration of memory properties, as well as with data of athletes' self-reports on their condition in various periods of playing activity. Practical recommendations on structure and realization of psychological preparation of trained tennis players taking into account revealed, most significant, psychological factors, which provide efficacy of style self-regulation for mental states and, accordingly, efficacy of competitive activity of trained tennis players on different stages of sports improvement.
