Mikhailova N. Physical Rehabilitation of Children with Mental Disorders.

The thesis is devoted to the issues of practical organization of physical rehabilitation for junior schoolchildren with hard stages of mental disorders. In the work there has been presented an analysis of results in application of physical rehabilitation. 48 children of junior school age with grave stage of mental disorders took part in the research. Complex program of physical rehabilitation of children of junior school age has been developed and tested, including morning physical exercises, correction exercises, outdoor games, hydrokinesotherapy, development of communication skills, teaching self-service skills based on improvement of motorics of hand and fingers, massage, balneotherapy, active calling of all members of the family with the parents' help and their direct partner participation. The proposed program of physical rehabilitation has a complex approach and social trend. All members of the family were drawn in and educational activity with close relationship was conducted. The conducted pedagogical experiment proves that introduction of the worked-out complex program of physical rehabilitation has improved the indices of psychomotor development, self-service functions, communication skills and has led not only to the improvement of children's motor field and increase of physical capability but also to the improvement of their social rehabilitation. The results of the research have been introduced into the practical activity of the Association for the Defense of the Rights of the Disabled Children "Nadiya", city of Kuznetsovsk; pre-school educational institution № 5 for groups of adaptation and correction of children with mental disorders in Kuznetsovsk; Regional Centre of Sports for Disabled "Invasport"; Educational and Rehabilitation Centre "Peculiar Child", city of Rivne; educational process at the Faculty of Health, Physical Culture and Sport of the International Economic and Humanitarian University named after Academician Stepan Dem'yanchuk, city of Rivne.
