Yurchenko O. Biblical symbolism in the cultural and national pictures of the world: attempt of comparative analysis

The object of research - Biblical lexical units of estern-slavonic, orthodox (Russian) and west-european, catholic (French) cultural and national pictures of the world. The aim is to expose the speci-ficity of functioning of Biblical symbolism in a con-text of different cultural and national pictures of the world. The methods - hermeneutical method of ap-proach to comparative analysis of Biblical lexical units through the prism of semiotic and lingual-cultural principles of research of cultural and national pictures of the world. The theoretical results of the thesis and its novelty. On the basis of the complex approach the theoretical model of interaction of three semiotics systems has been developed: national cul-ture, language and religion; that is why the concept Biblical lexical unit is considered as universal lin-gual-cultural concept has been entered to the theory of culture; for the first time in a history of philosophy has been carried out comparative analysis of Russian and French culturaland national pictures of the world through the prism of Bible symbolism in view of the phenomenon of symmetry and asymmetry in functioning the in new cultural contexts; the degree of importance and influence the Biblical lexical units on a background of new cultural contexts on modern world outlook system of the individual and society as a whole has been proven. The practical significance of the thesis lies in using its results in working out educational strategies, in the projects of cultural actions and publishing elaborations. The theoretical and methodological theses can be used in the further researches within philosophy of culture, in academic process in teaching the appropriate and special courses, composing of philosophy of culture, religion, lingual-cultural theory, theories and practice of trans-lation, a lexicography or phraseology tutorials, manu-als and dictionaries etc.
