Siryj S. The socio-political aspects of local wars and military conflicts in the context of globalization

The thesis is devoted to comprehensive and interdisciplinary analysis of the essence and peculiarities of local wars and military conflicts in the context of globalization and their influence on socio-political processes inside different states and in the sphere of international relations. New elements in the Ukrainian political science being the new method of studying and systematization of consequences of local wars and military conflicts as an integral phenomenon offered and used by the author of this thesis. It allowed to thoroughly investigate this phenomenon, and to define its structure, essence, dynamics and the character of its influence on the socio-political processes of internal and international relations in the context of globalization. The thesis exposes interactions between after-effects of armed and violent conflicts and their sources, reasons, character and results. From the point of view of provisions developed in the thesis it defines the basic sources of conflicts and substantiatesstrengthening of conflict-emerging factors in the process of globalization. This study presents a systemic analysis of the role of contemporary local wars and military conflicts as a factor of international relations with the indication of their characteristic features and impacts.
