The investigation object: NO-dependent mechanisms of atherogenesis. Methods of research: biochemical, coagulological. The theoretical and practical importance of the received results. The investigation goal: The dissertation is devoted to studying of effect of the excessive nitric oxide amount, which is formed from an exogenous precursor (model of chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate) in conditions of experimental cholesterol and peroxide atheroarteriosclerosis on oxidative processes in blood and aorta of hamsters, the blood lipid spectrum, hemocoagulation and finding out of the mechanisms of these changes depending on functional activity of NO-synthases. The scientific novelty of the investigation results. It has been revealed the cholesterol and peroxide atheroarteriosclerosis development under the chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate are accompanied by the considerable activation of lipid peroxidation with significant decreasing of antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase) activity, changes in parameters of the blood lipid spectrum, increasing in superoxide anion-radical production by microsomal and mitochondrial electron-transport chains of the aorta tissues, and suppressing of their energy quotient. It has been shown, that the hemocoagulation processes, superoxide anion-radical production, adenine nucleotides content and ratio in aorta tissues under these conditions depend on NO-synthases activity. The degree of implementation:the results of the research are implemented in the educational process Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academia (Poltava). Branch of usage: medicine, pathophysiology.
