Object: the process of formation of the musical-aesthetical tastes of the students in the professional training at pedagogical university; Aim: to ground theoretically and experimentally examine pedagogical conditions which ensure effective formation of the musical-aesthetical tastes of the pedagogical universities students in the process of art and creative activity; Methods: literature analysis, factor analysis, questionnaire method. Novelty: for the first time the efficiency of the pedagogical conditions of formation the musical-aesthetical tastes as essential component of general and professional culture of students of pedagogical universities in the process of art and creative activity have been grounded and proved. Results: the course “The World of Music” has been introduced; materials of the thesis can be used in the professional training of the future teachers, Field – theory and method of professional education.
