Essay

The dissertation offers theoretical generalization and a novel solution of the scientific problem pertaining to the perfection of an institute of family medicine shifting emphases to geriatric care servicing in Ukraine. Issues have been discussed concerning the role of general practitioner/family doctor and geriatric nurse in the provision of medical care, raising its efficacy and accessibility for elderly people in the countries with a rapidly aging population. Increased elderly needs in the general practitioner/family doctor's care service are emphasized.
