In the dissertation the problem of service sphere students' professional competence formation under the conditions of vocational schools is researched. The psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of future specialists of the service sphere professional becoming are grounded in the work. The essence of such notions as "professional competence", "key competences" are determined; the structure of service sphere specialist's professional competence is specified; the objective and subjective criteria of the vocational school students' professional competence formation are formed; the psychological criteria of future specialists' of the service sphere professional competence formation are developed and their levels are determined, namely: low, medium, high. The methods of formation of social and psychological competences as professional competence components in the form of the training course are developed and checked experimentally. The psychological and pedagogical ter ms of vocational school students'of the service sphere professional competence formation are suggested Methods of the service sphere students' social and psychological competences formation were developed and approbated in order to introduce the competence approach into the service sphere specialists' professional training and to check the professional competence formation psychological conditions experimentally. The formative experiment results showed the increase of the quality of service sphere students training at vocational schools; the latter proved the main research hypothesis.
