Ph.D. thesis is devoted to investigations of "Communications Ministry Journal (1865-1875)" history, which illustrates the problems of railway transport technique and transportation management. The famous national experts on railway transport have published their articles in this journal, such as M.O. Belelyubski, M.Р. Petrov, P.V. Bliоkh, O. Gibshman, D.I. Zhuravsky, S.V. Kerbedz, P.P. Melnikov, V. Salov, O. Chuprov and others. The works, devoted to construction and exploitation of railways, railing and its economy, building of railroad bridges, rolling-stock technique, fuel problems on the railways are worth mentioning. Using of "Communications Ministry Journal (1865-1875)" materials is indispensable condition for reproduction processes of railway transport development in Ukraine.
