Pysmenna Y. Ethnic peculiarities of world conceptualization by languages of European cultural area (based on lexics and phraseology of the Ukrainian, Russian, English and Italian languages).

The thesis is devoted to the research of ethnic peculiarities of conceptualization of reality, objectified with the help of culturally marked words, which form the corresponding parts of the Ukrainian, Russian, English and Italian language world models. The research focuses on lexics and phraseology, which comprise cultural components in semantics, represent various aspects of conceptualization and describe an ethnic person as unity of physical, somatic and mental characteristics. It was cleared out, that specific peculiarities of ethnic culture which are embodied in typical features of ethnic mentality are represented with different groups of culturally marked words. The results of this research testify that lexics and phraseology, being means of manifestation of culturally determined phenomena, represent conceptualization as an integrated, single process. At the same time different groups of culturally marked words mostly correlate with certain aspect of conceptualization (sensory, logical, emotional, moral-value).
