Essay

The thesis covers studying anti-atherogenic effects of cryopreserved placenta at experimental atherosclerosis. It has been shown that introduction of allogenic cryopreserved placenta to the rabbits with experimental atherosclerosis during the first week resulted in the normalization of lipid exchange, statistically significant rise in the level of estradiol in blood serum. To the 3rd week after introduction of anti-atherogenic cryopreserved placenta (ACP) the number of "lipid-loaded" leukocytes in peripheral blood approached to the control values, statistically and significantly reduced the area of aorta damage with no stage of atherocalcinosis. In 6 weeks it caused neovascularization of myocardium and recovered structural and functional integrity of aorta vascular endothelium
