The dissertation is devoted to a problem of formation at pupils of younger school age representation about health as personal value. The theory and practice of this problem is presented in dissertation. The theoretical analysis of approaches to research representation about health of children of younger school age is carried out. The essence of categories "health", "values", "representation" is described, their characteristics, psychological features of representations and conditions of their formation in pupils are opened. Position, criteria and levels of formation of representations about health at younger pupils is certain. Explained and experimentally it is checked up the program and technique of research of representations about health of children. The program included experimental check of sense of training to bases of health, different forms and methods of work on formation of representations about health at pupils of younger age in teaching and educational process and in cognitive work. Suggested the program and complex of methods directed to improvement of sense of teaching and educational process by valeologization, improvements of a state of health of pupils and formations of the valuable attitude to the health and health of surrounding people is offered. Efficiency experimental programs is confirmed. The basic results of research are used on practice in work of an elementary school.
