The research is devoted to investigating theoretical and practical issues of establishment and activity of investigating - operative teams. In the first section the peculiarities of separate forms of interaction between the investigator and the organ of inquiry in the process of prosecution of prejudicial inquiry of criminal cases have been researched. The nature of investigating - operative teams as a specific organizational procedural form of influence whose activity demands both procedural and non-procedural methods of investigation has been covered. The second section is devoted to consideration of procedural and organizational problems of establishment investigating-operative teams. Special attention has been paid to the bases, conditions and the order that consists of two stages: passing the decision and processing of documents. The peculiarities of right definition of investigating-operative teams membership, electing and appointment of the head have been covered; head's procedural and organizational authority and the peculiarities of his interaction with the members of his team as well as the peculiarities of legal relationships of the head of IOT and their members with the particular subjects of criminal procedure have been analyzed. The third section is devoted to the definition of the principles of investigating-operative teams activity and the peculiarities of its planning. The specific offers as for the improvement of the interaction between the organs of prejudicial inquiry and investigation during the prosecution on criminal cases as a whole and the improvement of the legislation and law practice of interaction between the organs of prejudicial inquiry and investigating-operative teams have been formulated.
