The dissertation is devoted to research a problem of the art truth in a modern cinema as well as typology and principles of transformation of "truth" in the film-text and its interpretation by the recipient to be taken as a subject of the analysis and not the separate esthetics contception. Treatments and transformation of the truth in various currents of a cinema are generalized. Based on the analysis of various currents of art the genesis and typology of interpretation of "truth" at different stages of a cinema are tracked. The classification of films by genres, by assembly thinking is specified with reference to a theme of research.
