The investigation object: patogenesis of sur-gical trauma at the different kinds of anaesthetics. The investigation goal:.The role of free radical processes in pathogenesis of failures caused by surgi-cal trauma under different kinds of anaesthetization has been studied. Methods of research: patophysiological, physi-cal-chemical, functional, statistical. The theoretical and practical importance of the received results: The study allows to establish that an-aesthesiological aid by different kinds of anaesthetics such as thiopental natrium, ketamin, propofol is fol-lowed by free radical progress which is characterized by intensifying of oxidant phenomena, increase of concentration of lipid peroxide oxidation products as well as reduce of antioxidative potential. Mechanical trauma does not effect on the direction of oxidizing–antioxidative processes found under the use of ether, thiopental natrium, ketamin, propofol. Different kinds of anaesthetics used under surgical intervention influ-ence cardiovascular system indices. Ether and thio-pental natrium have cardiodepressive effect, propofol has less marked effect while ketamin has sympath-omimetic effect. The correlation between free radical processes and central haemodynamics indices is also established. The level of final POL products correlates with marked haemodynamic progress. Clinical re-search has proved the great influence of anaesthetics, surgical intervention and stress on free radical proc-esses activation which follow surgical trauma. The progressive activation of POL and the increase of prooxidative processes under antioxidative potential is marked while anaesthetization based on thiopental natrium and ketamin is used. The reduce of antioxida-tive enzymes in pre-operational, operational as well as post-operational period is found. Anaesthetization based on propofol has much less effect on prooxida-tive processes activation and it also reduces antioxida-tive potential. The results of the research present the pathogenetical basis for the necessity to correct the discovered failure of oxidizing-antioxidative homeo-stasis. The introduction of recombinant SOD (SODrec) to the experiment results into increased SPD activity when ether, thiopental natrium, ketamin, propofol are used as well as under the combination of these kinds of anaesthetization. A degree of inplementation: the results are im-plemented in an educational process on the depart-ments of pathological physiology of the Kharkiv, Do-netsk medical universities, Ukrainian Medical Stoma-tology Academy (Poltava). Using Sphere: medicine, pathological phisiol-ogy.
