Ramadan H. Development of economic cooperation between countries of the Arabian Maghreb

The thesis is a research of theoretical and practical aspects of development of economic cooperation between countries of the Arabian Maghreb, to discovering conceptual bases of creating the newest regional paradigm in conditions of globalization, economic premises and factors of geo-economic transformations in Northern Africa, and to definition of major factors of modern international integration process which influence the formation of the external economic strategy of the states of the region. The research of nature and role of institutional-economic mechanisms of functioning of the regional economic cooperation of the countries of the Arabian Maghreb is given in the work. The basic regulatory and legal forms and principles, organizational and economic tools and financial levers of integration process in the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) are defined, the directions of their optimization are analyzed. Practical recommendations concerning components of institutional policies, realization of trading, investment, technological and infrastructural forms of co-operation of the states of Northern Africa with the European Union under conditions of globalization and regionalization of world economy are proved.
