Naydonova G. Subjective factors of bodily development of persons with different social status.

The thesis is one of the first attempts to investigate actual psychological problem of subjective factors of personality's body development. Analysis of approaches to research on somatic development, its interaction with life-course allowed to define interaction's directions. Bodily development, part of somatic development, has been analyzed; determinants, functions and structure of body image as a factor of body development have been identified. The meaning of body image in the regulation of body development while being determined by internal factors (social status position, integrity/defectiveness of the body) has been ascertained. It has been stated that impact of body image on the actions about body given active-modifying position as for social status depends on defectiveness of the body. Given passive-adaptive position, notions, feelings and evaluation of the body are connected with adaptation to social norms; attitudes and actions concerning the body to reduce physical activity in labour.
