The dissertation concerns with the complex analysis of financial-political groups influence on socio-economic and political processes in the transition states. The main regularities, factors and tendencies are identified, which define a role and place of financial-political groups in relations with authority and society. The characteristics of the given groups functioning in political and socio-economic system of Ukraine are analyzed in dissertation. It is argued, that financial-industrial groups in the majority of the post Soviet countries, first of all in Ukraine and Russia, which during the 90th of XX century were transformed into financial-political ones, play a role of the important part of political authority, and the competition between them is the basic instrument of reproducing of political authority and forming of political economic society system. The main scenarios of further developments in Ukraine and transition states are described in a context of political role of big business.
