Essay

The thesis is devoted to the current problem - development of space orientation of mentally defective schoolchildren of junior forms. It is explained development of this problem in general and special psychological pedagogical literature and practice of secondary schools. The subject of research was taken methodical supporting of development of space orientation on the initial level of training of mentally defective schoolchildren on the base of inter-subject connections. Theoretic analysis of psychological pedagogical literature confirmed actuality of taken problem and subject of research. Indexes, criteria and levels of formation of orientation in space are developed. It is developed a special system of tasks and exercises with training developing content that stipulates evolutionary development of space orientation of first-form schoolchildren of secondary school. As a result of formative experiment it is approved training and correctional effectiveness (application of exercises system) of development of space orientation on the initial level of training of mentally defective schoolchildren on the base of inter-subject connections. Experimental research and its results show that applied by us technique, foreseen using on the initial level of training of mutually defective schoolchildren of special developed tasks and exercises with content of space character gives possibility to improve development of space orientation of mutually defective first-form schoolchildren.
