Moysiyenko O. Structural, Semantic and Functional Peculiarities of the Remark in the Literary Text (Based on the novels of Alki Zei)

The thesis focuses on the peculiarities of functioning of remark constructions in the literary text. The analysis is conducted on the basis of literary works of the renowned Greek author Alki Zei. The remark is studied as a style-forming and representative linguo-figurative system of the author's idiostyle. The present thesis constitutes the first research in both Greek and Ukrainian hellenistics in which the semantic, structural and syntactic aspects of remarks in the sentences with the direct speech in Alki Zei's works are analysed. The conducted analysis enabled us to work out the semantic classification of the core of the remark and to characterize the stylistic features of the remark according to its syntactic organization, to define its role as an important means of dynamization of the text structure. The analysis of the remark is performed considering its ability to provide such categorial features of the text as cohesion/coherence and modality, which helped us to define the specific features ofits functioning as a stylistic category able to represent idiostylistic characteristics of a literary work.
