Kalenska T. Transborder strategic alliances of transnational corporations in the high-tech industries.

The thesis is dedicated to research of theoretical and practical issues of transborder strategic alliances. As the object of research we take the concept of TSA, analyze classifications of TSA, and consider TSA from the point of view of different theoretical approaches. Dynamics of the transborder strategic alliances formation in the high-tech industries is considered in the dissertation. Peculiarities of the TSA networks in the high-tech industries are investigated, also the attention is given to the research of advantages and disadvantages of these networks. Existing network structures are outlined and sphere of their application is described. Dynamics of TSA networks in the information technology sector is analyzed starting from the 70th of the 20th century. In order to discover similarities in the innovation activity of the transnational corporations in information technologies sector, clusterisation of these corporations was performed on the basis of the innovation activity indicators of TSAs. With the help of Spearman rank correlation interdependence between TSA indicators and indicators of innovation activity of companies was stated.
