Essay

In the dissertation on the basis of the analysis of the archived documents, statistical materials, discussions of domestic and foreign historiography the ethno-confessional processes in the ARC (the Autonomous Republic Crimea) in the regional measuring are investigated, the considerable quantity of the archived original sources which characterize the poly-ethnic and poly-confessional structure of population of the autonomy is applied in a scientific usage for the first time. The peculiarities of ethno-confessional and inter-confessional life of national minorities of the autonomy, the evolution of ethno-confessional relations and the processes in the ARC which is marked as the achievement in the becoming of the new ethno-religious identity of the population of Crimea are elucidated. It is investigated that on the one hand, there was a tendency to the spiritual ethnic revival, the strengthening of national consciousness, the renewal in status of the discriminated national groups, on the other hand - theintensification of international relations (the Crimean Tatars-Russians) and inter-confessional contradictions (the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchy and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchy, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchy - the Moslem, Orthodoxy - Protestants-neo-religion).
