The thesis offers the political analysis of the process of the Central and Eastern European countries integration to the European Union and accompanying transformations in these countries and in the EU structure in the context of the previous EU expansion, as well as the study of the mutual influences of the systematic transformational processes on the macro- and microrevels. The paper shows the factors of the expansion and deepening successfulness of the European Communities and European Union in comparison with other competitive European integration associations, particularly of the EFTA. The reasons for striving of Central European countries to the integration within the framework of EU and their refusal of creating their or alternative group are examined. The process of European integration to Central European countries is analyzed. The main peculiarities of forming strategies for European Union integration are taken into account. These goals had to be achieved step by step by regional cooperationof Central European countries as well as by expansion of the spheres of cooperation with EU.
