Biletska L. Procedure in criminal cases of smuggling in Courts of First Instance.

In this thesis the author looks into theoretical and practical characteristics of proving in criminal cases of smuggling in Courts of First Instance, analyses circumstances which have to be proved in criminal cases of smuggling and the specificity of their research, defines the characteristic features of the generic subject of proving in smuggling cases. The author shows the specificity of issues decided by a judge during trials in smuggling cases, defines the peculiarities of judicial investigation in smuggling cases; in particular, reveals the characteristic features of Courts of First Instance's check and evaluation of preliminary consideration records, their admissibility, fullness and sufficiency for a judicial inquest. The work puts forward some propositions concerning the improvement of Ukraine's current Criminal Procedure legislation which regulates procedure in criminal cases of smuggling in Courts of First Instance.
