Essay

The aim of the study was to investigate the humoral mechanisms of the regulation of the motor function of the stomach and duodenum. The investigations were carried out in chronical experiments on dogs with fistulas of fundus and duodenum. The recording of the motor function was done by ballonographic method. It was established that endogenous histamine is a fisiological factor, which limits the duration of the phase of work of the periodical motility of stomach and duodenum throught the activation of the H3-histamine receptors. The cyclic appearence of migrative motor complex do not determine by the fluctuation of the blood gastrin level. It was established the interrelationship between the fluctuation of the concentration in blood pancreatic polypeptide and blood insulin and blood glucose level and periodical motility. Hypoglycemia during the I phase evoked the secretion of the pancreatic polypeptide which evoked the II phase of the migrative motor complex of the duodenum. We suggested that glucagon increased the blood glucose level during III phase, which evoked the secretion of insulin. Insulin decreases the blood glucose level and this lead to the excretion of pancreatic polypeptide.
