Goryachok I. The method of study of publicistic works in the higher forms of general school.

Theoretically grounded and experimentally tested methodical system of study of publicistic works in the higher forms of general school is offered in our research. The model of acquaintance with publicistic works in the process of study of Ukrainian literature in 9-11 classes is represented, methods, techniques and types of educational activity and extracurricular work during the study of publicistic works are determined, the expedience of their use is grounded, the conditions of realization of this model is displayed and literary, psychological and pedagogical and methodical bases of studying of the publicistic works in the higher forms of general school are determined, the program of optional subject "Ukrainian publicistic" is offered for the students of higher forms. It is experimentally proved, that the offered methodical system develops in students the ability to analyze the publicistic work, to understand its content, to determine the author's position, to interconnect the publicistic works of theauthor and works of art, to be oriented in the events of public reality, to evaluate them, to think critically, to be able to express their own opinion, helps in self-determination of personality, forming of his world view and assists in overall development of senior pupils, that improves the effectiveness of the teaching and educational process.
