Slisarchuk M. Genetic nature of soybean "stem fasciation" and its use in breeding.

Subject of research - details of economic characters and properties manifestation of varietal samples and soybean hybrids. The purpose - to reveal the possibilities of expansion of genetic basis of parental material of soybean for the breeding of new varieties with the complex of economic characters by the involvement of forms with a fasciated stem in hybridization. Methods - field, laboratory, mathematical and statistical. The value and novelty of research - in the first in Ukraine details of heredity, variability, plasticity, correlation dependence and the stability of duration of vegetation period, morphological characters and components of the seed productitvity in the soybean varietal samples of fasciated and unfasciated type and in F1'and F2 hybrids are established. When using fasciated forms the valuable parental material for the soybean breeding with the common type of stem is developed. Introduction - in the Registery of Samples of Plant Gene Pool of Ukraine, economic characters valuable on economic characters forms (sources) of fasciated soybean are put and included in the breeding process of the Soybean Breeding Laboratory of the NRC "Institute of Agriculture of the UААS".
