In the project, the analysis of the major problems of the modern system of physical education among students, the most important of which is increase of achievement motivation that is formed under certain pedagogical conditions of organization of physical education process in the higher educational establishments, which is the exact purpose of the given project, has been conducted. Organizational and methodical conditions for use of self-control in the physical training of students as a factor of motivation for professional and applied physical training, are directed towards awareness of activity aim and its achievement by self-regulation of personal behavior at the cost of internal motives of self-improvement which are forwarded to appropriate standards and progress of personal achievements, as well as external stimulus, which are created by the educator. Determined peculiarity of correlation between results of movement tests, which require different kinds of endurance (general, speed and power) and motivation factor (necessity of achievement), which gives the opportunity through the motivation of aim achievement to involve the students in systematic physical trainings not only at educational time but even after it. Supplemented qualification and psychophysical characteristics of the professional activity of navigators of water means of transport include two groups of factors: those, which can develop during physical trainings - the indicators of physical health, physical preparedness, psychological and physical indicators, and those, which are less changeable - typical features of nervous system.
