Essay

The dissertation is devoted to a question of improving quality of iron-ore concentrate at the expense of increasing the degree of division by force of intensification of magnetic separation by electropulse influences. In work influence of electrical exposure on the mechanism fixing slime granules on the surface of coarse grains is investigated. If fineness of quartz grain diminish, the barrier of repulsion will tromp decrease. As a result, it creates soiling of magnetite surface. Grains' speed and quantity for adhering vary depending on their concentration, hydrodynamic conditions, in the field of magnetic separator also on grains' magnetic properties, intensity and gradient separator's magnetic field. The electrochemical investigations showed that particle size compile 0,002-0,003 mm and not lower than 0,001 mm. Grains which are coarser than 0,003 mm are simply washed down by hydrodynamical liquid flow on the separator. Magnetic field for grains which are lower than 0,001 mm, should be more then 100 kA/m. The highest technological value was received under voltage 300 V and pulse frequency 10 Hz. Mass fraction of iron in concentrate specifically increased on 0,6-0,8 % under slight decreasing of emission and recovery indexes
