Essay

The object – the process of teaching physics in secondary school. The goal – the elaboration of methodological basis of the creation and usage of studying model experiment as a mean of building scientific concepts for high school pupils in electrodynamics studying process. The novelty – for the first time: the expediency of purposeful and systematical usage of model experiment studying in teaching physics is theoretically grounded and experimentally confirmed; the didactic function of the model experiment, which are used according to the goal are determined; the psychological-didactic requirements of the model experiment for forming scientific concepts are elaborated; the detailed investigation of the quality of getting knowledge and its usage in the process of studying the “electric field” subject is conducted in the conditions of purposeful and systematical usage of the model experiment. The results – the conformity of connections between the pupils’ knowledge quality of physical concepts and peculiarities of using for this purpose model experiment is grounded; the original equipment for model experiment demonstration on “electric field” subject is developed and made; the system of demonstrational model experiments, which greatly enlarge the content of traditional experiment for studying the electric field is elaborated; the methodology and technology of the improved model experiment to teach the basic concepts in the electric field studying in teaching physics in a secondary school are developed.
