Essay

In the thesis the essence and the place of the two strategic competency interpretations in the competency hierarchy of the education of Ukraine is scientifically substantiated; the strategic (activity) competency structure is worked out in the competency format, the strategy classification of the foreign language strategic (activity) competency is compelled; the structure of this competency as a learner’s acquisition and also the foreign language teacher’s preparedness for the secondary school pupils’ strategic competency development is created; the evaluation criteria, levels and indices of this preparedness are defined. In the work the program of the experimental would-be foreign language teacher’s training for pupils’ strategic (activity) competency development is presented; the teachers’ and would-be teachers’ preparedness state analysis for pupils’ strategic (activity) competency development is made; the would-be teacher’s training technology of for pupils’ foreign language strategic competency development is developed; the results of this technology introduction are analyzed.
