Muzyka A. Legal status of the diplomatic representatives: issues of theory and practice.

The Thesis is devoted to the research of issues of diplomatic representations' legal status. The study considers the genesis, development and current state of legal institutes which regulate the legal status of diplomatic representations, the degree of theoretical development of the respective problematics in native and foreign scientific literature, the theoretical and practical aspects of diplomatic representations' functioning, issues of its workers' legal status. The international, as well as native level of regulation of the respective issues is being studied, its flaws and defects are being evidentiated. As a result of the study, the author has prepared proposals on amending the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Penal Code of Ukraine. Ways of solving a number of currently existing legal problems of the diplomatic field are suggested.
