Object - quarters and building in the centers of historical cities of the Left bank of Ukraine; the purpose - development of a method of an estimation of efficiency of town-planning use of territories of the centers of historical cities; methods - the system approach to the analysis and forecasting of town-planning objects, with use of modern methods of modelling, statistical methods, expert estimations; novelty - it is advanced typological differentiation of quarters of historical cities behind characteristics and parameters of the city environment; for the first time it is allocated types of quarters with attributes of "stability" and with "problems" - reference type and the broken type; research of factors which influence is lead{carried out} and define{determine} an effective utilization of city territories - economic and town-planning; For the first time the direction of development of the city environment of quarters of the broken type to conditions of "stability" that has made possible{probable}is determined to develop model of definition of efficiency of town-planning use of quarters in the centers of historical cities; behind the given model the developed method of an estimation of efficiency of town-planning use of quarters in the centers of historical cities which will consist of the order of town-planning reconstruction of quarters and a technique of definition of efficiency of town-planning use of quarters in the centers of historical cities; branch - town-planning
