Essay

The dissertation is the first research in Ukrainian art culture of women dances in the context of development of folk and stage choreography. Historical cultural and artistic analysis has been done in this work. This analysis has such directions: Ukrainian women dances in every day life in context of calendar annual and family rites (rituals) as well as dances without rituals, stage variants of Ukrainian women dances - in folk-stage choreography and in conditions of Opera and Ballet performances on national themes. It has been proved that ritual women dances in the process of аesthetisation have acquired their own artistic meaning, gave rise further development of non-ritual dances. Ukrainian folk women dance has undergone rethinking in stage interpretations both of ballet-masters of folk-stage and classical choreography of folk-stage and classical choreography, that proves legitimateness of referring to the complex of folk choreographic culture not only folk artefactes but as well as original stage forms.
