Essay

In the dissertation one of the most actual problems of history of the Russian emigrant literature - the interaction in it of ideas of the Silver age with essentially new phenomenon of spiritual realism that found on traditions of the patristic and the Old Russian literature, and also on experience of Russian classical literature - is in details investigated оn an example of prose of B. Zaytsev. In the present work B. Zaytsev's relation to Silver age prevailing ideas is considered. The features of an impressionist manner of the writer are systematized. Zaytsev's evolution from pantheism and neo-realism to Orthodoxy and spiritual realism is tracked. In the thesis the experience of reconstruction of ecclesiastic in the prose of Zaytsev is investigated; it is also traced the influence of a hagiographical canon at all levels of a narration. The author of work proves that the new art principles of Zaytsev (author's self-belittling, polyphony, narrowing of psychologism) is not a genre specificity, but a complete creative method because they appears in the creations of different genres - in the novels and in the fictionalized biographies.
