Dissertation is theoretical and experimental research of the problem of preparation of Science teachers to the optional teaching of senior students in the system of the in-service education. In work the system theoretical analysis of differentiation of teaching on the senior level of secondary educational establishments, genesis of preparation of Science teachers to the realization of the differentiated approach are carried out in the work; essence and structure of readiness of Science teachers to the optional teaching of senior students is defined; organizational and pedagogical bases of rising of the level of professional competence of teachers of optional classes in the system of the in-service education are determined. The model of preparation of Science teachers to the optional teaching of senior students in the system of the in-service education, program of problem-based courses and the system of scientific-methodological and organizational-pedagogical accompaniment of teachers of optional classes in the period between the in-service courses, are developed and experimentally tested.
