The thesis studies the influence of religious factors on genesis and development of Ukrainian nation. The authorchose this subject, firstly, because of the previous analysis of the phenomenon of national and national genesis, in which thedominant and fundamental role of spiritual and cultural components of national identity was defined, and secondly, because ofdifficulty and contradictive character of religious situation in Ukraine and its obvious correlation with social processes.
