Essay

This thesis is devoted to the research of electronic mass media discourse as a part of language-informational space. Main attention is focused on Internet-discourse of presidential election campaign during November 2004 - January 2005 that received the "Orange revolution" title. It is represented by publications in Ukrainian, Russian and English appropriately in three Internet-editions: "Ukrainska Pravda" (www.pravda.com.ua, Ukraine), "Polit.Ru" (www.polit.ru, Russian Federation), "Guardian Unlimited" (www.guardian.co.uk, Great Britain). There were researched key factors of the Internet-discourse functioning; analyzed the verbal part of "Orange Revolution" Internet-discourse by the criterion of diachronic stableness; explored language personality of the author of thsese Internet-editions as a subject of the electronic mass media discourse; discovered forming of new social-political nationally marked attributive concept "ORANGE". There was also carried out an experiment among the readers of above on-line editions as respondents of "Orange Revolution" Internet-discourse which helped to learn their national understanding of this concept.
