Essay

The dissertation is devoted to storage of sowing and technological properties of sunflower seed in the conditions of south of Ukraine. It is set that inreased humidity of seed results in intensification of breathing, that leads to the increase of seminal mass temperature and, accordingly, needs additional energy waste on vetilation. High intensity of processes peroxidation of lipids during the first six months of storage, especially of sunflower seed with increased humidity, leads to the expense of tissues antioxidants, and as the result is the lowering of seed quality and products of its processing. The processing of sunflower seed with distinol in the concentration 0,25 % before putting on storage does not influence on the processes of hydrolysis disintegration and peroxidation of lipids at storage during ten months, but has a positive influence on the sowing quality of seed. The processing of sunflower sowing material with distinol in concentrations 0,25 and 0,5 % contributes to receiving of more high-quality sunflower seed, which are characterized by lowering content of free fat acids and products their peroxidation and increased content of low-molecular biotantioxidants, especially phosphotides, and also overactivity of enzymes of antioxidant defence of lipids. At storage of such seed the processes of hydrolytic and oxidations of lipids are braked, that allows to increase the terms of its storage.
