Sadkovyi O. The Attitude to Life and Death in the Conditions of an Extreme Situation: the Value-semantic Aspect

The thesis is dedicated to the research of peculiarities of attitude towards life and death of the rescue service specialists of the Ministry of Emergency possessing various professional experiences and by virtue of peculiarities of their professional activity deal with the people's injury and loss of life. On the basis of the analysis of theoretical approaches and results of the research there has been clarified the psychological component of purely philosophical problem of life and death, there also has been defined social and psychological phenomena in and through which we can observe and study the emergency unit of the Ministry of Emergency specialist's attitude towards life and death under emergency conditions. The value orientation characteristics of the emergency unit of the Ministry of Emergency specialists with various professional experience has been offered; the hierarchy of the rescuer's pressing problems stipulating the formation of the value orientation of a specialist personality has been determined; the principal role of the value sense sphere of a personality in the rescuer's inner motivation forming has been proved.
