The theoretical and practical aspects of executing of letter of credit operations are researched. The preconditions and features of carrying out international payments in the Ukrainian conditions are explained; the forms, methods and instruments of international payments are classified; it is developed fivelevel model of carrying out international payments; the categories of risks of executing of foreign economic operations of enterprises are evaluated. The methodological approaches of taking the optimum strategy of bank tariff policy on letters of credit are developed.
