Essay

The dissertation studies the typological features of the Ukrainian, Russian, and English glossemes in publicistic discourse. For the first time, public press texts in the three languages were studied for identifying the types of glossemes and their qualitative and quantitative characteristics. There were defined extralinguistic and intralinguistic factors predetermining the appearance of glossemes in public press texts. The experiment revealed the correlation between the level of native speakers' cultural literacy depending on their age and the level of their comprehension of glossemes.
