Research is devoted to a problem of understanding by students of modern songs. In the robot the basic results of empirical research of features of understanding in connection with primary installation of students concerning certain песенного a genre and a level of its understanding are resulted. As a result of an experimental research it is established five forms of primary installation (productive, is rational-empirical, sensual, identification and rigid) and their communication with the certain level of understanding of the text of a song (creative, is formal-logic, is emotional-shaped), and also from a number of personal formations (need for self-realization, empathy, a level of the subjective control, creative potential, the general self-estimation) which combination is considered as system psychological formation of the subject of understanding. In research the given approbations and verifications of the developed author's program of optimization of process of understanding by students the text of songs by means of method creative training are cited. The regulations about creativity the given program as special psyhology-pedagogical means of formation of the new growths inherent in the person as the subject of creative amateur performance prove.
