Essay

The object of the research is educational and speech activity of preschool children suffering from general speech deficiency. The aim of the research is to ground theoretically and work out the methods providing development and correction of speech respiration of senior preschool children suffering from general speech deficiency. The research methods used are theoretical, empirical, diagnostic, and statistical. The practical results are the following ones: the methods of speech respiration diagnostics and experimental techniques aimed at developing and correcting speech respiration of preschool children during correctional and speech activity have been elaborated; an integrated system of means aimed at correcting children's speech respiration: complexes of respiration gymnastics, exercises with the use of correctional balls has been worked out; complexes of medical physical culture aimed at correcting a posture and exercises aimed at integrating motion activities and speech have been elaborated. The novelty of the research consists in the following items: a comparative analysis of speech respiration development of senior preschool children suffering from general speech deficiency with the normal one, its specific nature being described, has been realized for the first time; pedagogical conditions providing speech respiration development of children suffering from general speech deficiency have been specified; the indices and levels of speech respiration development of the children suffering from general speech deficiency have been identified and characterized; the essence of the notion "correctional and speech activity" has been specified; the reasons of speech respiration malfunction of the children suffering from general speech deficiency have been revealed; the methods aimed at correcting speech of preschool children suffering from general speech deficiency have got the further development. The degree of approval is high. The corresponding branches are pedagogical, specialized preschool institutions, postgraduate education.
