Essay

Dissertation deals with the problem of sensitivity and psychological and pedagogical factors of its development at the early adolescent age. The work contains theoretical generalization of the scientific problem of sensitivity that is realized in etymological and semantic analysis of the notion "sensitivity". The peculiarities of the sensitivity's manifestation at the different stages of ontogenesis have been considered in the paper. The structural components of sensitivity (cognitive, emotional, behavioral), levels of the progress of the given morally-psychological quality (high, above the average, average, below the average, low) at the early adolescent age have been defined. The psychological and pedagogical factors which determine the development of the sensitivity at the given stage of ontogenesis (the formation of the moral self-consciousness of the pupils, broadening of the valuable grasp of the senior pupils by their adoption of the humane value, the actualization of the empathy of the pupils; the formation of the pupils' adoption of other people and benevolence, the development of the culture of the intercourse (upbringing tactfulness, politeness); the development of the solicitude; humane individual teacher's approach to the pupils' upbringing and adequate combination of educational and upbringing work of the school with the influence of the family on the senior pupils' moral development) have been found out. It has been proved that the sensitivity at the early adolescent age can be formed by means of the development of its structural components through the social and psychological training.
