Essay

Thesis of the Candidate of agricultural science academic degree by speciality 06.01.02 - agricultural melioration (agricultural science) - Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Land Reclamation of UAAS, Kyiv, 2009. The dissertation is dedicated to the soil-conservative estimation of a condition of the phosphorites deposits in Rivne and Volyn regions, working out measures on increase of fertility of reclaimed peat and sod-podzol soils and availability of phosphorites as complex ameliorants. In the dissertation it is proposed an approach to the integrated estimation soil-conservative condition of phosphorites that allows working out the methods, which is based on their chemical composition data, ecological, technological and economic indexes. It has been introduced for the first time the integrated soil-conservative estimation of the phosphorites in Ukraine under the rating scale of their condition in the range from the critical (0-0,2) to standard one (0,8-1,0). It was revealed that phosphorites from different deposits have different content of chemical elements and heavy metals. It was also specified the aggregative indexes of soil-conservative estimation according to chemical composition, ecological, technological and economic condition of phosphorites as well as the integrated indexes of their quantitative and qualitative assessment. An appropriateness of the granular phoaphorites use is proved by the results of corresponding economic calculations. The main results of the researches can be used in the course of an acceptability appraisal of any ameliorants for their environmentally safe use in the soils which require reclamation measures. Key words: soil-conservative estimation of phosphorites, aggregative index, granular phosphorites, integrated index, ameliorant.
