Thesis is submitted for the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences in the specialty 06.01.02 - agricultural amelioration (agricultural sciences). - Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Land Reclamation of the UAAS. - Kyiv, 2009. Research is conducted concerning the scientific substantiation of the old-arable draining peatland structural improvement technology, the creation of organo-mineral soil and getting high-qualitative perennial grass fodder with long-term its growing on the one spot and the efficient use of potential organic soil fertility. It is proved that the organic horizon structural improvement with underlying rock secured the considerable betterment of water and physical properties, nutritive regime and the decrease of organic mass mineralization of newcreated meliogenic soil. It is established that the efficient and environmentally balanced use of worn out up to critical capacity of organic soils of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe is ensured with reclamation ploughing on them by means of extraploughing of underlying mineral rock with the layer 8 - 10 cm to peat and next permanent perennial grass mixture use not less 7-9 years and compete mineral fertilization split application under the first and second grass cuttings (N30+30P45K60+60). At such technology the grass yield averaged 141.2 - 151.2 hkg/ha dry matter for thee years as against 114 - 120 hkg/ha at the surface tillage.
