In the dissertation the fundamental components of methodical system of teaching Computer Science in the 7th-9th forms aimed at developing pupils' techniques of mental work taking into account the age differences of mental growth of the pupils were developed and proved. We have developed the maintenance of the contents of teaching Computer Science in the 7th-9th forms with the list of mental operations and techniques that are mastered while acquiring knowledge, developing abilities and skills. We have developed certain components of the system of organization and promotion of independent work of pupils in the 7th-9th forms in the process of mastering knowledge, abilities and skills in this field.
